Mobile System

The assembly consists of two braking systems on mobile trailers which are to be installed on both sides of the runway, and a steel pendant connecting the two sides.

Mobile systems can be transported by land, sea or air. They can quickly be installed on concrete, asphalt or soil, on any part of the runway as well as road runways. They can also be removed quickly and set up in a different location if necessary. The equipment required for installation and removal is stored on the trailers.

They work in a similar manner to the hook systems. The aircraft hook catches the steel rope and activates the system. Nylon tapes on the energy absorbers are pulled out as the aircraft continues to move. Energy absorbers slow and stop the aircraft in a safe and controlled manner. Each mobile barrier unit is equipped with a rewinding system that will rewind the nylon tape over the drums and make the system ready again. The rewind system includes a petrol/diesel engine, a hydraulic coupling, drive wheels, drive chains and other items necessary to wind the belt. After the nylon tapes are wrapped over the drums by the operators, a static pressure is applied to keep the pendant taut and the system is ready to make a new arrestment.

As with all systems, its purpose is to absorb the kinetic energy of an aircraft in motion. Mobile systems, which stop the plane in such a way as to ensure the safety of the pilot, catch and control the plane and distribute the loads that will arise while stopping the plane within the possible distance.

Systems that can be transported by land, sea or air can be installed on road runways or any part of the runway on asphalt, soil or concrete ground (depending on the ground condition) between half an hour and 4 hours. The system is assembled according to the appropriate width of the pendant with which it is equipped.

A set system of two machines can be carried one at a time with one piece C-130 or 2 pieces C-160 mobil systems; it can be installed without hydraulic power units and mounting kits or the need for any external power.
